Heavy Equipment Technical Communicator – Savage, MN

RMS is seeking an organized, detailed orientated employee for its Heavy Equipment Technical Communicator open position in the service department. This position is stationed within our Savage Headquarters location and provides assistance to all our satellite branch locations with minimal travel required. This position provides technical support to the entire RMS service organization, assists Technicians, Customers, and Management with troubleshooting, repair decisions, and serves as a key contact for all vendor technical resources. Qualified candidates will be a leader for RMS’ Tier 4 engine support & training initiatives and assist with continued T4 technician education. Administrator and lead expert for Cummins Insite engine diagnostic software is also a critical duty for this position. The Heavy Equipment Technical Communicator position requires 10 (ten) plus years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, and 5 (five) plus years working for an equipment distributor.

Shop Service Technician, RMS Rentals – Savage, MN

RMS is seeking a Light Equipment Technician to join its Rentals division shop in Savage, MN. Technical trade school and three (3) years’ experience in hydraulics and electrical circuit troubleshooting are preferred. Small engine and light repair working knowledge is necessary, preferably on JLG Equipment, as well as experience repairing off road fork and boom lifts. Possession of basic tools is strongly recommended. Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment – Virginia, MN

Our continued growth has created the opportunity for our Virginia, MN branch to add Field Service Technicians to perform service duties in this location. Road Machinery & Supplies Co. sells and services brands such as Komatsu, RoadTec, KPI-JCI, Atlas Copco, and many more. We are seeking experienced Construction or Ag Field Service Technicians who are qualified to serve our customers in this area. In this position, you will be equipped with a field service truck, and will work in conjunction with our Virginia, MN facility, reporting to the Virginia Service Manager. 

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Field Service Technician for an OEM heavy equipment distributor. This position requires exceptional skills in hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, and repair of heavy construction equipment. RMS desires employees that can build and maintain solid customer relationships, are self-directed, and can demonstrate safe working habits. A strong work ethic along with the ability to work outside in the elements are also required.

In this role, you will be the service repair contact at RMS for the customers you serve in your geographic area, but may also be dispatched to other geographic areas as needed. You will be responsible for a high standard of quick response time to customers and will be required to have a high sense of urgency in prioritizing customer repairs.

You must possess a CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record, the ability to pass a drug test and fitness for duty physical. General computer and paperwork processing skills are also essential in this position.

Aggregate Equipment Sales Specialist – Iowa

Road Machinery and Supplies Co. (RMS) is accepting resumes and applications for an Aggregate Equipment Sales Specialist for the state of Iowa and Nebraska. RMS is the exclusive dealer for the Aztec companies Kolberg Pioneer Inc. (KPI), Johnson Crushing International (JCI) Aztec Mobile Screens, (AMS), Sandvik along with other aggregate related lines. Due to the high technical nature of this role, the requirements for this position include 10 years sales experience, preferably selling aggregate products, or 10 years’ experience in aggregate production, and possess a strong understanding of material production, gradations and types of products produced. A college degree and management experience is preferred. This individual will support RMS’ existing mobile equipment sales force with their sale efforts, and would be directly responsible for a specified number of large, specific accounts. The compensation package for this position consists of a competitive base salary plus commissions, company vehicle, paid vacation and holidays, expense account reimbursement, matching 401(K) plan, health, dental and life insurance offerings.

RMS is looking for an energetic Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain customer relationships that will result in equipment sales that achieve company expectations. The territories represented consist of 21(twenty-one) counties across South Central and Southeast Iowa, along with 2(two) counties in Illinois. This position will office from your residence. Therefore, qualified candidates should reside in the Southeast Iowa area. Successful candidates will have at least three years of experience selling capital goods, and the entrepreneurial spirit to self-manage the territory assigned to achieve goals. A background in Construction Equipment is preferred.

Resident Field Service Technician – Nebraska

Our continued growth has created the opportunity for our Southern division to add a Resident Field Service Technician for the state of Nebraska. We are seeking an experienced Construction or Ag Field Service Technician to reside within the Omaha, Nebraska area. In this position, you will work within a close proximity of your residential area and will be equipped with a field service truck. You will be responsible for supporting the quarries in Southeast Nebraska and Southwest Iowa as well as covering the entire state in support of Asphalt Paving Crews. This position will work in conjunction with our Des Moines, Iowa facility and will report to the Des Moines, Iowa Service Manager.
